It’s reported that they are developing two distinct versions of their Vision Pro headset: one designed for reduced weight and affordability, while another version is intended to seamlessly connect with a Mac computer for exceptional low-latency operation.
1) The tethered variant caters to professional users requiring minimal delay, such as those employing it for flight simulations or surgical visualization. On the other hand, the cost-effective option has been developed to broaden the reach of the Vision Pro, offering a more budget-friendly price and user-friendly design compared to its initial launch in early 2024, priced at $3,499 USD.
Despite the fact that these advancements are currently under development, it’s said that Apple aims to eventually create true-to-life Augmented Reality (AR) spectacles – lightweight and designed for everyday use, resembling ordinary eyewear more than tech devices. Although AR glasses might take a few years to become available, these upcoming models could potentially move Apple a step closer to bringing this vision into reality.
