Nintendo has revealed the principal cast members of its forthcoming live-action “Legend of Zelda” film. Bo Bragason has been chosen to portray Princess Zelda, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will assume the character of Link.
The announcement was made by Shigeru Miyamoto himself, via Nintendo’s official social media platform, and it seemed to feature preliminary character costumes in the images they shared.
Introducing Miyamoto! Excitedly sharing that Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth have been cast as Zelda and Link respectively for the upcoming live-action movie of The Legend of Zelda. Can’t wait to see them bring these iconic characters to life on the big screen!

Who Are the New Zelda and Link?
Bo Bragason has gained recognition for her roles in BBC One’s “Three Girls” and “The Jetty”, as well as Disney+’s “Renegade Nell”. Last year, she also played a part in the vampire comedy “The Radleys”.

Benjamin Evan Ainsworth lent his voice to the main character in Robert Zemeckis’ film “Pinocchio” and portrayed Miles in “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” a series on Netflix. At present, he is starring in “Son of a Critch,” and has also made an appearance in “The Sandman.

Release Date and Production
The classic game “The Legend of Zelda” has been rescheduled for a theatrical premiere on May 7, 2027, moving away from its initial March release date. According to Miyamoto, this change was necessitated by adjustments in the production timeline.
Wes Ball, known for directing “The Maze Runner” and “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”, is taking charge of the upcoming production. Miyamoto and Avi Arad are collaborating as producers on this project.
