Genshin Impact fans have more positive news regarding voice acting! Yuri Lowenthal, who voices the character Dainsleif, is officially returning for the upcoming Version Luna II. He temporarily stopped working on the game during the 2024-2025 SAG-AFTRA strike, like many other voice actors. While others announced their return after the strike ended, Lowenthal hadn’t, which led to concerns among players that Dainsleif might be recast. Thankfully, those worries have been put to rest!
Now that Sean Chiplock’s voice as Dainsleif was clearly heard in the Version Luna II trailer, and he’s officially credited for the role, fans can be sure the character will continue to appear in the game.
I’m so excited for the next Genshin Impact update! It’s not just Lowenthal coming back – Erin Yvette (Arlecchino), Ashley Bisko (Layla), Zeno Robinson (Sethos), and Nazeeh Tarsha (Alhaitham) are all reprising their roles too! That’s awesome to hear, the voice acting is such a big part of what I love about the game.
Last year’s birthday celebration for Nahida was a difficult time, coinciding with the voice actor strike for Genshin Impact. This made the in-game event feel less impactful, as many of the actors who voiced characters from Sumeru were unable to participate, leaving their characters silent. Thankfully, with a new major event focused on Sumeru coming up, things will be different this time.
