Jonathan Bailey on stepping away from acting

During an interview with a media outlet, Bailey revealed that he’s taking a break from acting for a while due to his busy schedule over the past three years. He expressed, “I’ve been working non-stop, and it’s been both fantastic and overwhelming.” Moreover, he mentioned his intention to pause acting next year and devote his time solely to the Shameless Fund.

The actor from ‘Wicked’ stated that he intends to handle staffing matters and concentrate on the statistical analysis of his organization to ensure everyone is in their appropriate roles. He expressed concern about a statistic indicating only one penny out of every £100 raised in the U.K. reaches the LGBTQ+ community, stating that finding solutions requires effort, and he truly believes The Shameless Fund to be an effective solution.

On a professional note, though the actor has expressed a desire to retreat from acting, he’s still set to play Anthony Bridgerton in the fourth season of the Netflix series. The new episodes will primarily revolve around Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie, but they’ll also delve into the romantic entanglements of Benedict’s brother, Anthony, with Kate Sharma.

Bridgerton season 4 will be out on the digital platforms in 2026.
