Who is performing at the 2025 Grammy Awards?

The Grammy Awards are typically more renowned for the acts that take the stage rather than the winners themselves. Be it Prince in 1985 or Questlove’s stellar ensemble in 2023, it’s the live performances that set the Grammys apart from other award ceremonies. Don’t you just imagine and hear Whitney Houston kicking off the 1994 show with her awe-inspiring performance of “I Will Always Love You”?

Previously, Dua Lipa’s initial act and Fantasia Barrino’s concluding part during the In Memoriam tribute came close to stealing the limelight. However, it was ultimately Tracy Chapman’s unexpected performance of “Fast Car” alongside Luke Combs that truly captured everyone’s attention.

What can we expect from this year’s Grammys? As things stand, nine artists have already been announced as performers for the show on Sunday. Following tradition, each of them has received a nomination in at least one category this year. Here’s a sneak peek at who will be performing.

Who will be performing at the 2025 Grammy Awards?

Each year, the Grammy Awards offer an exceptional platform for emerging artists, and interestingly, half of the eight nominees for the Best Artist category have been scheduled to perform in this year’s show.

Benson Boone

In 2024, the 22-year-old musician dropped his first album titled “Fireworks & Rollerblades“. The track “Beautiful Things” became a global hit, peaking at No. 2 in the USA and topping charts worldwide.

Teddy Swims

A soulful vocalist hailing from the state of Georgia achieved the top spot on the charts with the song “Lose Control” off his first studio release, titled “I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1)“.

Doechii

Among the artists set to perform, Doechii has been nominated in four categories: New Artist, Best Rap Performance for “Nissan Altima”, Best Rap Album for “Alligator Bites Never Heal“, and an additional nomination.

RAYE

The British artist is nominated for the newly created Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical) award. Despite having written and released music for nearly a decade, her most significant successes have come recently with songs like “Escapism” and “Prada.

Chappell Roan

Among the most popular stars on Earth, Chappell Roan’s first album, titled “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess“, generated numerous chart-toppers, and her follow-up single “Good Luck, Babe!” became an international phenomenon. Currently, she is nominated for six Grammys across all four major categories – Record, Album, Song, and New Artist.

Sabrina Carpenter

Alongside nominations across all four main categories, the ex-Disney star, Sabrina Carpenter, garnered significant success with several major hits from her album titled “Short n’ Sweet“. These hits include “Espresso”, “Please Please Please”, and “Taste”.

But it isn’t just newcomers who will perform on Sunday.

This year, Shakira, who has previously won two Grammys in the Best Latin Pop Album category, is nominated again for her album titled “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran“.

In 2015, British singer Charli XCX received her first Grammy nomination. This year, due to her album “Brat” creating a significant impact in pop culture, she has garnered eight additional nominations, including Record and Album of the Year. Three separate songs from “Brat “, namely “360”, “Apple”, and “Von Dutch”, are now Grammy-nominated.

Among Charli’s nominations is one for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, which she shares with Billie Eilish for their song “Guess”. At only 23 years old, Billie Eilish has become a formidable force at the Grammys, having won 10 awards since her remarkable sweep in 2020. This year, she’s nominated for another seven.

In 2024, a total of 15 diverse performances were staged. As of now, neither rock nor country artists are scheduled, which suggests that the Grammys may still be inviting more performers. Stay tuned for this Sunday to discover who else might grace the stage.
