Jenna Ortega makes her comeback on-screen, with Netflix unveiling the trailer for Wednesday’s second season. Excitement among viewers is palpable, as they eagerly await new installments. The sneak peek suggests that a significant character may meet their demise.

In 2023, it was revealed that Season 2 of the widely-acclaimed Netflix series would be released, following the downfall of main adversary Laurel Gates in the Season 1 finale. Numerous mysteries were left unexplored, sparking excitement among viewers as they anticipate these enigmas could potentially be unraveled in the upcoming season.

Simultaneously, the team behind Wednesday embarks on a world-wide promotional tour dubbed the “Doom Tour.” This venture aims to generate excitement for season 2 not only in the United States, but also in countries such as England, Poland, Italy, France, Romania, Canada, South Korea, and Australia.

Breaking down Wednesday season 2 trailer

To start off, the introductory scene of the upcoming Wednesday series shows the Addams family returning their character portrayed by Jenna Ortega to school after picking her up.

When asked about her feelings towards starting the new school year, Wednesday says it’s like going back to a crime scene. Additionally, she hints that she is aware of some secrets or issues that others may be trying to hide.

Later on in the preview, viewers notice Wednesday’s face is marked by dark tears. Her mother acknowledges understanding their significance. “What happened?” asks Ortega’s character. “Enid is dead, and it’s entirely my responsibility.

In the upcoming sequence, Wednesday is found in a cemetery, with a headstone nearby bearing the inscription, “In tribute to Enid Sinclair.” Suddenly, a wounded Enid emerges and chokes Wednesday, all while exclaiming, “It’s your fault I died!” The scene transitions abruptly to quick glimpses of terror and a voiceover that asserts, “The Addams family’s secrets are their foundation. The quicker I uncover the truth, the sooner I can rescue Enid—or meet my end in the attempt.

In the upcoming season of the Netflix series, Ortega will be accompanied by Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, and Isaac Ordonez as fellow cast members.

To add to that, we have some fresh additions to the cast: Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah B. Taylor. Furthermore, there are rumors circulating that Lady Gaga will make a special appearance in the series as well.
