IO Interactive, the team responsible for creating the Hitman series, recently revealed the debut trailer for their upcoming James Bond video game titled 007 First Light.

As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the 2026 release of the game where I get to play as a young Bond, fresh off the boat in MI6’s 00 program. The gripping three-minute trailer offers a glimpse into my character’s past, shedding light on his upbringing and the double-edged sword that is my recklessness – a trait that can be seen as either an asset or a potential liability.

In the heat of the game, I find myself tasked with an ultra-dangerous operation. If it goes right, I’ll earn the coveted 00 number. But out here in the field, a woman catches my eye, and it feels like I’ve cast caution aside for her.

As a hardcore gamer, I can’t wait to dive into the thrilling world of “007 First Light” – the first video game instalment in the iconic 007 franchise since a decade and a half! The last time we had a taste was back in 2012 with “007 Legends”, where we got to embark on missions from various eras of James Bond. We got to experience Sean Connery’s Goldfinger, George Lazenby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Roger Moore in Moonraker, Timothy Dalton in Licence to Kill, and Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day. And if that wasn’t enough, Daniel Craig from Skyfall was later added as a free DLC! Now, it’s time to gear up for another unforgettable adventure!
