The brand sought out Masquespacio to create a lively and engaging environment tailored specifically for NOVU WAFFLE. This latest addition in Riyadh marks an extension of the brand, as they build upon the success of their initial store, which primarily operated as a takeout service.
The store’s exterior is primarily coated in a cool, pale blue shade, which is characteristic of the brand, while its windows and entrance doors are designed in a round-rectangle shape. The windows have grid-patterned frames reminiscent of waffles.
This design aspect isn’t limited to the outside; it also carries inside the store. The interior decoration mainly uses a muted color palette, but bursts of color are strategically placed. In this color-neutral environment, a significant central structure shaped like a rectangle, built from bricks, stands out as the main feature. This brick structure is purposefully arranged to mimic the square holes found in a waffle, encompassing the seating area.
Across the 100-square-meter expanse, identical grid designs are consistently present. You’ll find these patterns on the ceiling lights, walls, furniture, and decorative items, giving a unified visual style to the entire area. To break up the cool color palette, there are structures with transparent yellow fabric hanging around. These elements infuse a gentle, warm hue into the space, mirroring the buttery yellow tiles found on the opposite side of the counter.
