10. ‘Men in Black II’ (2002)
In this action-packed movie, Agent J enlists the help of retired Agent K to stop a dangerous alien named Serleena, who can change her shape. Together, they race across New York City to find the powerful Light of Zartha. The film features Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the lead roles, with Lara Flynn Boyle playing the alien villain and strong performances from Rosario Dawson, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, and Rip Torn.
Barry Sonnenfeld directed the second installment in the ‘Men in Black’ series, which is based on the Marvel comic by Lowell Cunningham. The screenplay was written by Robert Gordon and Barry Fanaro, building on a story by Gordon. 9. ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ (2022)
In ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ Pete Mitchell – known as Maverick – trains a group of elite fighter pilots for a dangerous mission. The film also explores Maverick’s history, particularly his complex relationship with one of his students, Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw. 8. ‘Smile’ (2022)
Psychiatrist Rose Cotter, played by Sosie Bacon, starts seeing disturbing and frightening events after a patient dies by suicide. These events seem connected to a curse passed on through traumatic suicides, often marked by a creepy smile. The cast also includes Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Kal Penn, and Rob Morgan.
Parker Finn’s first feature film, based on his earlier short film ‘Laura Hasn’t Slept’, was produced by Paramount Players and Temple Hill and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Cristobal Tapia de Veer composed the music, and Charlie Sarroff handled the cinematography.
7. ‘The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!’ (1988)
When Queen Elizabeth II visits Los Angeles, Detective Frank Drebin finds himself in a frantic race against time to prevent a planned assassination. The investigation leads him into a complicated web involving gangster Vincent Ludwig and a surprisingly chaotic baseball game. The film stars Leslie Nielsen alongside Priscilla Presley, Ricardo Montalbán, George Kennedy, and O. J. Simpson.
Directed by David Zucker and written by a team including Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Pat Proft, this 85-minute film was produced and released by Paramount. It kicked off a series of three movies based on the TV show ‘Police Squad!’
6. ‘Men in Black’ (1997)
New York City police officer James Edwards is recruited into a secret organization and becomes Agent J. He’s partnered with the experienced Agent K to monitor and control alien encounters. Together, they must stop a Bug alien from stealing a powerful miniature galaxy. The film stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Linda Fiorentino, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Rip Torn.
Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and based on a screenplay by Ed Solomon, which in turn adapted the comic by Lowell Cunningham, the film boasts a score by Danny Elfman and was produced by Columbia Pictures, Amblin Entertainment, and Parkes/MacDonald. It went on to become a huge success around the world.
5. ‘Step Brothers’ (2008)
When their parents fall in love and get married, two grown men, Brennan Huff and Dale Doback, find themselves unexpectedly sharing a house. This throws their lives into chaos and forces them to navigate the challenges of becoming adults. The film stars Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, along with Richard Jenkins, Mary Steenburgen, Adam Scott, and Kathryn Hahn.
Adam McKay directed the film, and he co-wrote the screenplay with Will Ferrell. Ferrell, McKay, and John C. Reilly developed the original story. Judd Apatow was one of the producers. Jon Brion created the music, Oliver Wood handled the cinematography, and Brent White was the editor.
4. ‘Fight or Flight’ (2025)
A secret agent on a commercial flight has to find someone, but ends up having to protect them when several groups try to cause trouble during the flight. The movie stars Josh Hartnett and Charithra Chandran, with Marko Zaror and Katee Sackhoff also appearing.
James Madigan’s first feature film as a director, written by Brooks McLaren and D. J. Cotrona, was released in theaters and on Sky Cinema in 2025. It then became available on Paramount+ in the U.S. on October 1, 2025, and can also be accessed through various Paramount+ channel packages.
3. ‘Ozzy: No Escape from Now’ (2025)
This documentary follows Ozzy Osbourne through some challenging years, detailing his ongoing struggles with chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, and the complications following a 2019 surgery on his spine. His family, including Sharon and Jack Osbourne, openly share what they’ve experienced with his health. It first became available on Paramount+ on October 7, 2025.
The film, directed by award-winning filmmaker Tania Alexander, follows Ozzy Osbourne’s journey between 2021 and 2025. It features footage of his medical treatments, surgeries, and his strong desire to perform again, captured shortly before his passing in July 2025.
2. ‘The Naked Gun’ (2025)
The new movie is a continuation of the classic ‘Naked Gun’ series, bringing back the same silly, physical comedy. It stars Liam Neeson as the son of the original detective, Frank Drebin, and also features Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston.
Akiva Schaffer directed and co-wrote the film, alongside Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. Fuzzy Door produced it, and Paramount Pictures distributed it. It first premiered in late July 2025, then opened in theaters across the U.S. on August 1, 2025, before becoming available to stream.
