In a forthcoming movie based on Colleen Hoover’s novel Verity, Dakota Johnson will take on a role. Snapshots from the film set have been leaked online. The images show Johnson’s character, who is covered up, walking down the street with her co-star, Josh Hartnett. In quick succession, a scene captures Johnson being splashed with blood and drenched in the substance. These events unfold as cameras roll on the Fifty Shades of Gray actress.

According to the original novel, the upcoming film’s gripping narrative is expected to focus on three primary characters: Lowen Ashleigh, Jeremy Crawford, and Verity Crawford. In this adaptation, these characters will be played by actors Johnson, Hartnett, and Anne Hathaway respectively.

As per the book summary, the character Lowen Ashleigh, a writer facing difficulties, is employed to finish the unwritten books in a series authored by Verity Crawford, wife of Jeremy Crawford. Later, she discovers that an unknown manuscript might hold answers about the family’s concealed history.

Hoover’s second book, “Verity,” has also been made into a movie, following the success of “It Ends With Us” which has been generating headlines since its publication.

After her recent film, Madame Web, bombed at the box office and even won a few Razzie Awards, Dakota Johnson is set to make her comeback to the silver screen.

Apart from her other projects, Anne Hathaway is collaborating with director Christopher Nolan for an upcoming film called “The Odyssey,” slated for a 2026 premiere.
