Towards the end of last year, studio Pearl Abyss unveiled a brand new, high-quality single-player RPG titled Crimson Desert. This game is currently under development for both PC and consoles. With stunning visual combat, an expansive open world, and the exciting option to ride dragons and traverse floating islands in the sky, this game appears incredibly captivating.
Originally scheduled for late 2025, but after the Q2 2025 earnings call, it’s been moved forward to the first quarter of 2026.
Hey fellow gamers! I’ve got some news about our highly anticipated game, Crimson Desert. Unfortunately, due to complexities in coordinating schedules with multiple partners for offline distribution, voice-overs, console certification, and other preparations, we’ve had to push back the launch by a quarter. We know this might be disappointing as we were initially aiming for a Q4 release, but trust us, this strategic decision is all about ensuring a successful and impactful launch on a grand scale. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that the company has confirmed the upcoming appearance of our anticipated game at Gamescom next week. However, they won’t be revealing a more precise release date than the tentative Q1 2026. While this might seem like a slight delay, if development stays on course – as hinted by Pearl Abyss’ statement – we can look forward to playing it soon.
