Ultra-Low Mileage McLaren P1 Surfaces for Auction

As a diehard fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the one-of-a-kind 2015 McLaren P1, resplendent in a unique matte green exterior and boasting striking McLaren Orange interior accents, going under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s. This single-owner hypercar, with its ultra-low mileage of only 130 kilometers (81 miles), is a rare gem indeed!

This P1 model was initially designed for Qatar and customized according to GCC standards, making it a unique piece due to its racing-influenced design details. The McLaren Orange accents draw attention to significant exterior features such as the emblems on the front and back, brake calipers, wheel hubs, and hydraulic rams of the rear spoiler. Inside, this bold color is carried over to the leather seats, dashboard, and control panels, emphasizing the vehicle’s distinct appearance.

In 2013, the McLaren P1 made its grand entrance as a pioneering hybrid supercar by the brand, taking on the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder in competition. With only 375 units produced globally, it stood out as a significant milestone for McLaren, exhibiting advanced aerodynamics and performance that continue to amaze.

This specific P1 has been stored statically since it was delivered, maintaining its almost brand-new state. Interestingly, this hypercar marks the beginning of RM Sotheby’s monthly “Sealed Drop” collection, with bidding starting in March. The P1 is predicted to sell for up to $1,500,000 USD.
