As a seasoned gamer and music enthusiast who’s been to more concerts than I can count (and lost more earplugs than I care to admit), I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the latest lineup of metal and hard rock tours this fall! From emerging bands like JVK and Hulder, whose raw energy is a force to be reckoned with, to iconic acts such as King Diamond and Stryper, there’s something for every headbanger out there.
As autumn approaches in the Northern Hemisphere, the excitement of upcoming concert tours refuses to cool down. Even though global warming isn’t exactly a pleasant scent, at least it keeps things warm enough for our favorite bands to embark on their journeys and keep us entertained. Here I am, ready to rock out…you already know the rest!
Over the last seven days, it’s been revealed that numerous metal and hard rock concerts are scheduled for autumn. While some of these bands may not yet be household names, catching them in their early stages can often mean witnessing them at their most intense.
In the upcoming concert series, you’ll find both JVK and Hulder on the lineup. Hulder, known for their intense metal sound reminiscent of a furious banshee, is scheduled to perform along the West Coast from September 17 to 28. If you’re a fan of heavy music with a vocalist that sounds like an angry spirit, these shows are perfect for you. On the other hand, Boston-based JVK will be touring from August 30 until November 16.
Two rock icons among a gaggle of bands going out on tour this autumn
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, let me share two concerts that I strongly recommend you don’t miss – King Diamond and Stryper. If you’re a fan of Ghost, you’ve probably heard of King Diamond’s music before. This artist was a significant influence on Tobias Forge, which is great news because King Diamond delivers top-notch studio albums, but his live shows are simply extraordinary.
The tour starts on October 12, kicking off with the Mexico Metal Fest in Monterrey, and continues until December 6. A major advantage is that King Diamond will perform across North America, ensuring that most likely, there’s a concert near you for easy access. If driving isn’t an option for you, consider asking someone for a ride. As a token of appreciation, I recommend treating them to a drink at the show.
If you appreciate music that combines metal with a strong influence of Christianity, then chances are you’ve been a fan of Stryper for quite some time now. Their debut album was dropped back in 1984. Remarkably, the band managed to thrive even when their fanbase seemed limited, by producing exceptional glam metal tunes.
The band will begin their autumn dates on September 11 in Greeneville, TN (seems like a random place to start a tour, but who’s to judge?) and end on November 16 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Stryper might not be King Diamond, but if they are performing in some random place near where you randomly live, they are worth checking out.
