The Twisted Metal competition is about to begin! Last season concluded with John failing to achieve his desired outcome despite making a crucial delivery. He’s now contemplating leaving due to the realization that the peaceful life he imagined for himself isn’t what he truly wanted. However, fate has other plans as he finds himself thrust into the role of Raven’s chauffeur in this tournament. This is how we arrive at Twisted Metal season two, and the trailer provides us with a glimpse of our contestants and plenty of Calypso-induced mayhem.
In the video, Calypso personally speaks to both the contestants and the spectators, announcing that this is the greatest competition. The victor of this tournament will receive a unique wish. However, it’s unclear what that might mean for John, who has already lived through what he believed was his heart’s desire.
The situation for him seems set to become intricate due to the involvement of his long-lost sister Dollface and former rival-turned-romantic interest Quiet. It remains to be seen how everyone will react, but it’s clear that Sweet Tooth will join in the chaos too. In a sneak peek from Twisted Metal season two, we see plenty of him, even with his head ablaze. For Sweet Tooth, a fight-to-the-death is an exhilarating form of amusement.
In addition to this awesome footage, we have new images from season two:
