In the recently unveiled trailer for Season 4, Jennifer Aniston resumes her role as Alex Levy in “The Morning Show.” The sneak peek hints at a significant overhaul for the fictional TV program, TMS, after the intense merger at the conclusion of season three.
Alex has risen to a top executive role after combining her network with a rival, forming UBN.
The preview suggests she may face obstacles in her fresh role, implying that her leadership might be revolutionary yet precarious – a potentially dangerous “glass cliff.” She aims to transform the company’s environment with Stella (Greta Lee) and Mia (Karen Pittman) by her side.
Yet, the newcomer Celine Dumont, portrayed by Marion Cotillard, enters with a contrary perspective to Alex’s vision, questioning the feasibility of a “female utopia.” Boyd Holbrook’s character appears as a podcaster and potential love interest, introducing further complexity to the narrative plot.

In the upcoming fourth season, Reese Witherspoon’s character Bradley Jackson reappears following the season finale’s cliffhanger in which she handed herself over for her role in a political conspiracy. The storyline advances almost two years to spring 2024, with the details of her time in custody still unknown. Bradley returns to journalism and collaborates with her former coworker Chip, portrayed by Mark Duplass, to expose another perilous cover-up.
In the upcoming episodes, we’ll see the reappearance of Paul, portrayed by Jon Hamm, and Cory, previously played by Billy Crudup. The trailer indicates intricate relationships and intense face-offs, as Alex delivers a warning: “You can’t clean a house while it’s on the verge of explosion.” This is followed by the arrival of the FBI. Additionally, there seem to be hints of a budding romance between Bradley and Cory, sparking excitement among fans.
As a backer of this captivating series, I’d like to shed light on the central themes emphasized by Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt: accountability and second chances. In her own words to The Hollywood Reporter, “There is accountability, but it’s not devoid of hope. Even when one must confront their accountability for past actions, life can move forward.
In simple terms, Season 4 is set to deliver intense storylines, conflict over power, and character development as the news team confronts a mix of work and personal hurdles.
