In collaboration with LEGO, Holland has produced a lively short movie titled “Never Stop Playing.” Set to the rhythmic tune of AC/DC’s “High Voltage,” this production reinforces LEGO’s campaign to stimulate playing among people across all age groups. The story begins with Holland filming an action film advocating a contrary message, which is then followed by him envisioning various roles at different life stages. From being a footballer and entrepreneur, the owner of a gallery, and even an elderly man in his garden, Holland indulges in a plethora of amusing scenarios. Despite assuming diverse characters, he always finds motivation to continue enjoying play whenever he connects two LEGO blocks.
In the short film, Holland’s brothers Sam and Harry appear as well. This makes sense since the Spider-Man actor shared that they used to play together with LEGO bricks as kids. As he stated in a press release, “I loved building with LEGO bricks as a child. My brothers and I would create our own imaginative worlds, transforming our living room into various settings such as a prehistoric jungle or racing tracks for our LEGO cars! It was enjoyable revisiting those memories on set. Becoming an official ‘Playmaker’ is really awesome. Even with a busy schedule, I’ve never stopped playing…and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon!
Tom Holland, much like the rest of us, enjoys building with LEGO bricks. However, it’s unlikely that we’ll see him portraying a middle-aged, bald, and jowly CEO character in the near future. Despite his versatility, he is only 29 years old, which might limit his roles in that direction for now.
