Following our chat at the Todd Snyder New York City store not so long ago, it seems that Bon Iver’s partnership with the menswear brand is finally official!

In the beginning of their recent discussion, Snyder expressed to Justin Vernon of Bon Iver that his presence was especially significant due to their planned collaboration. At first, Snyder admitted feeling uncertain about what they would create, assuming it would only be clothing items like t-shirts or hoodies. However, they ended up designing a unique and straightforward merchandise line featuring a single color instead.

The pair immersed a knitted hat and a hoodie into the hue that matched the album’s standard – a vibrant shade referred to as “Salmon,” which leans towards pink.

“For some reason, the color salmon is just my favorite color,” Vernon said to Snyder.

The Todd Snyder x Bon Iver sweater hoodie, priced at $398 USD, presents a salmon-hued version of Snyder’s Nomad Hoodie, featuring the album cover right in the middle of its design. Meanwhile, the Todd Snyder x Bon Iver Luxe Ribbed Beanie, available for $198 USD, is skillfully made from Nomad yarn using a half-cardigan stitch and boasts a four-point finish to create a sophisticated texture.

According to Snyder, who is both a long-time admirer of Vernon’s music and the Founder/President of Todd Snyder, this project came about effortlessly, as he expressed in a statement. He found the chance to develop items that showcase Vernon’s latest album an exceptional one, given how much inspiration Justin’s music has provided him throughout the years. The goal was to make these pieces as intimate and distinctive as the music itself.
