Last year, I got my hands on the iconic Nike Air Zoom Spiridon that made a comeback. Originally introduced in 1997, it graced the stage at the SNKRS Showcase event and was later part of a two-shoe collaboration with Fragment Design. After releasing versions in “Metallic Silver” and a limited edition “Thunder Blue” created with UNDEFEATED (only 1,000 pairs were available), Nike is reminiscing about the past 28 years by reintroducing the original “Signal Blue” colorway.
This 90’s-inspired running shoe design kicks off with a black fender skirt adorned by reflective trim. The midfoot Nike logos sport a sleek silver hue outlined in black, while the color scheme of the upper draws inspiration from their iconic blue, particularly its mesh component. A hint of red can be found on the small Swooshes at both the toe and tongue, and the pair is finished off with a white midsole.
If you’re eager to get your hands on the classic “Signal Blue” Air Zoom Spiridons, mark your calendars for March 13! You can find them on Nike SNKRS and selected retailers, with an initial price of $160 USD. Check out the design in the image above and keep an eye out for further updates about this iconic shoe model.
