‘The Boys’ Unleash First-Ever Official Video Game in VR — Trailer Just Dropped

A video game based on the popular show ‘The Boys’ is officially in development! It’s called ‘The Boys: Trigger Warning’ and will be a virtual reality (VR) exclusive, created by Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and Arvore.

The game’s release date and first trailer were announced: it will be available in spring 2026 for Meta Quest 3 and PlayStation VR2, priced at $23.99.

This VR game puts you in the middle of the battle against the Supes, emphasizing both stealth and action. You won’t play as a character you recognize from the show; instead, you’ll experience the story as a new character who accidentally uncovers a hidden Vought secret while on a family vacation.

That event transforms the character into a superhero, after which you join forces with The Boys to infiltrate Vought and get revenge.

The game features several actors reprising their roles from the Prime Video series. Laz Alonso returns as Mother’s Milk, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, and P.J. Byrne voices Adam Bourke once again. Jensen Ackles appears as a unique, darker version of Soldier Boy created specifically for the game. While Homelander and Billy Butcher are shown in the trailer, it’s currently unknown if Antony Starr and Karl Urban are providing their voices.

The team at Arvore, known for games like The Line, YUKI, and Pixel Ripped, worked directly with the creators of the show while developing this project.

Ricardo Justus, who founded and leads the studio, explained that they always intended to create the adaptation in close collaboration with the original creators of the universe. He said working with the show’s writers and actors helped them capture the series’ signature intensity, wit, and realism, and combine it with Arvore’s unique creative style.

Trigger Warning is being released around the same time as the fifth and final season of The Boys, which premieres on April 8th. The new season will begin with two episodes, and new episodes will be released each week, culminating in the finale on May 20th.
