The Air Jordan 11 “Purple Rain” Honoring Prince’s Legacy Is Sold for $100K USD

Jordan Brand designed a unique Air Jordan 11 called “Purple Rain,” honoring the iconic musician Prince. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly in 2016 before receiving them. This exclusive sneaker is the only one made and was recently auctioned off for an incredible $100,000 USD.

Soaked in rich royal tones, the design embodies Prince’s iconic flair. The upper and tongue, crafted from luxurious suede, blend effortlessly with velvet mudguards for added lavishness. The opaque purple outsole reinforces the regal look, while a pristine white midsole and matching lettering on the tongue provide a soft contrast. Silver Jumpman logos, adorned with a metallic sheen, complete the sophisticated ensemble.

Inside, the sneaker holds a unique tribute. Custom insoles feature “Jumpman” in Prince’s iconic font, alongside falling rain graphics that pay direct homage to his legendary song, “Purple Rain.”
