Supper Club Returns to Hong Kong for Art Week

This upcoming spring, The Shophouse will once again host its Supper Club, a unique blend of art fair and community space for contemporary art enthusiasts, during Hong Kong’s Art Week. Last time around in 2024, it was held at the historical Fringe Club, but this year it’s moving to H Queen’s, with support from HART Collective Limited as our main partner. It will feature an impressive collection of works by contemporary artists and galleries from all over the world.

One of the highlights in the lineup is Katerina Lukina’s solo performance titled “Let His Eyes Open Like a Frog’s“. Presented by THE SHOPHOUSE, this performance will exhibit Lukina’s investigation into vision, transformation, and mythology through her diverse artistic methods. In addition to Lukina’s work, special projects from Shuo Phoebe Li, an artist based in LA and Shenzen, and Tung Wing Hong, a visual artist, fabricator, and mechanical designer based in Hong Kong, will also be displayed.

On the 29th of March, 2025, Hong Kong artist Liao Jiaming will share WYSIWYG, an interactive “transformation ritual” where performers modify and redefine their bodies to question notions of beauty, authority, and perspective. The day after, Shuo Phoebe Li will display “Nurturer or Nourished”, a performance delving into her comforting habit of braiding her hair during restless nights.

Supper Club will take place at H Queen’s in Hong Kong from March 24 – 30, 2025.
