On Tuesday, following its successful Monday debut, James Gunn’s Superman film raked in an impressive $17.1 million, marking its highest grossing day since its release and currently the top-grossing Tuesday of 2025 to date.
This represents a significant jump of approximately 32.6% over Monday’s $12.9 million, surpassing the growth of comparable films such as Thor: Love and Thunder (12.1%) and The Batman (-0.5%).





Biggest Tuesday of 2025 and for Any Superman Film
Superman just took the crown for the #1 Tuesday of the year, topping:
- Lilo & Stitch ($15.2M)
- Jurassic World: Rebirth ($15.1M)
- Minecraft ($12.8M)
Additionally, it set the record for the most profitable Tuesday in Superman film history, surpassing the earnings of $12.2 million from Batman v Superman and $11.5 million from Man of Steel (figures not inflated).





#4 Biggest Tuesday in DC History
This $17.1M total now ranks Superman at #4 all-time for DC Tuesday box office:
- Aquaman – $22M
- The Dark Knight – $20.7M
- The Dark Knight Rises – $17.8M
- Superman – $17.1M
- Wonder Woman – $14.3M
It’s important to mention that among the earnings on non-premier Tuesday for standalone superhero films, Superman now ranks 6th on the all-time list, surpassing Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain Marvel.
$200M Coming by Friday
Over the past five days, Superman has amassed a total domestic box office earnings of $155 million. By this coming Friday, it is projected that Superman will reach an impressive $200 million, indicating a robust position for the DCU reboot as we approach the weekend.
The $17.1M Tuesday now puts Superman at $250M worldwide.
