Universal Pictures just dropped a new trailer for Disclosure Day, the highly anticipated UFO movie directed and produced by Steven Spielberg.

The trailer highlights the film’s main message with the phrase, “People deserve to know,” and announces it will be in theaters on June 12, 2026.

Spielberg’s Return to Large-Scale Sci-Fi

Disclosure Day is a new film based on an idea by Steven Spielberg, and it’s a return to science fiction that focuses on how people react, rather than just big visual effects. The movie is similar to Spielberg’s previous films about first contact with aliens and how those encounters affect society – themes he’s known for exploring in his most famous works.

David Koepp Reunites With Spielberg on Screenplay

David Koepp wrote the screenplay, continuing his successful working relationship with Spielberg. He’s previously written blockbuster films like Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which have collectively grossed over $3 billion worldwide. He also penned the script for the upcoming 2025 film, Jurassic World Rebirth.

Cast and Production Details
