The upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film has added a significant villain: Tombstone. Marvin Jones III will play the role of the longtime Spider-Man enemy, as reported by Deadline.
Filming has been on hold for a week after Tom Holland suffered a concussion on set. It’s expected to start up again on Monday, September 29th.

Who Is Tombstone?
Tombstone, whose real name is Lonnie Lincoln, was created by Gerry Conway and Alex Saviuk and first appeared in the comic *Web of Spider-Man* in 1988. He’s a powerful crime boss with albinism, incredibly tough skin, and sharpened teeth, making him a dangerous enemy for Spider-Man. Over the years, the character has shown up in various comics, animated series, and video games as one of New York City’s most ruthless criminals.
I’ve noticed a familiar voice in this film, and it’s because Keith David is fantastic as Tombstone! He really nailed the character in *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse*, and thankfully, he’s coming back to play him again in *Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse*. It’s great to see consistency with voice actors, and he truly owns that role.

About Marvin Jones III
Roger Jones is an actor who often plays compelling villains. He’s widely recognized for his role as Tobias Whale in the TV series *Black Lightning*, and has also appeared in shows like *The Equalizer*, *All American: Homecoming*, and the second season of *Halo*.
He recently acted with Kerry Washington in the movie *Shadow Force*. He’s also going to be in the Amazon series *Criminal* with Emilia Clarke and Adria Arjona, and in Jonás Cuarón’s film *Gringo Champion*.
