‘South Park’ Calls Itself Out: “South Park Sucks Now” in Halloween Episode Featuring Melania and Trump

South Park’s 28th season has begun, and it’s already making waves. The recent Halloween episode, ‘The Woman in the Hat,’ playfully criticized the show itself, seemingly in response to feedback that last season focused too much on politics.

In this episode, Stan’s dad gets laid off because of a government shutdown, and the family has to move in with Stan’s grandpa at his retirement community.

Stan angrily states that everyone thinks South Park has gone downhill because of its focus on politics. This line appears to be the show acknowledging the criticism it’s received for its recent, politically charged storylines, suggesting a level of self-awareness.

The kids attempt to improve their circumstances by creating a viral internet meme, “South Park Sucks Now,” hoping it will help them while they’re stuck in the retirement home. However, things take a strange turn when the story leads to a mysterious seance held at the White House.

Former President Donald Trump is seemingly plagued by the presence of Melania, who appears as a shadowy figure, and is experiencing unsettling, possibly supernatural events. Others present include Pam Bondi, Brendan Carr, and Kristi Noem. To investigate these strange occurrences, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren have been called in.

Kyle’s cousin gets into a difficult situation when he tries to get Don Jr. to agree to the cryptocurrency plan. His efforts fail, and he’s arrested by the end of the dramatic events.

I’m a huge South Park fan and I’m so excited for Season 28, Episode 2! Happy Halloween, everyone! I’m sharing this to show my support for the show. Honestly, I’m really frustrated with Paramount and Skydance right now, and I’m also deeply disturbed by everything surrounding Epstein, Peter Thiel and Palantir, Stephen Miller, and Trump & Vance. If you feel the same, please like and repost to show your support for South Park too. ❤️
