Paramount Pictures just dropped a new sneak peek for Sonic the Hedgehog 4, teasing that “The countdown to chaos has begun.” The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on March 19, 2027.

The brief title reveal heavily focuses on the Chaos Emeralds, using diamond-like visuals and hinting at a serious new danger for Sonic and his friends, which likely confirms who will be in the game.

The footage teases a bigger threat

The short preview features a hammer breaking into pieces, with glimpses of characters appearing as if frozen within crystal-like fragments. A pair of bright red eyes are seen observing from the shadows.

A voiceover warns that the characters’ sense of security is an illusion and that much worse is yet to come, signaling Paramount is building towards a larger threat in the next film.

Jim Carrey is back as Dr. Robotnik

Another detail getting attention is Robotnik.
