First box 

The first puzzle asks you to find symbols representing a sweet and tangy fruitcake – a favorite shared by Rinko and Shu. You’ll need to reveal three specific symbols: the cake itself (located on the second row from the bottom), a strawberry (on the top row), and a cherry (on the bottom row, on the back of the box).

Second box 

The second puzzle asks you to find symbols that look like Rinko’s journals. To solve it, reveal any symbol containing a book. On the front of the box, check the second row from the top. On the back, look at the second and third rows.

Third box

The last puzzle asks you to find symbols of cherry blossom trees. Look for a blossom branch on the second row from the bottom of the box – that’s all you need to unlock it and move forward.

Silent Hill f Secret Box puzzle: Hard difficulty solution

First box

The first puzzle is similar to the one on Story mode: you need to find fruit symbols from the cake Rinko and Shu ate. Turn the puzzle so the grapes, strawberry, and pineapple are facing forward, and the apple, cherries, and orange are on the back.

Second box 

We’re collecting copies of the journals Rinko imagines writing, so please gather all the books. One book is on the front, and three are on the back.

Third box

Finally, check the third box for cherry blossoms. On the front, you’ll find two blossoms on the right side – one at the top and one at the bottom. On the back, there’s a cherry blossom tree on the right side of the middle row.

First box 

Lost in the Fog mode is a little more challenging, but it’s similar to easier settings – you’ll just have more panels to examine. The first puzzle asks you to find both tart and sweet fruits. You’ll need to find the orange and apple symbols on the front of the box, and the cherry, strawberry, grapes, and pineapple on the back.

Second box 

The second puzzle asks you to find items that suggest Rinko’s imaginary journals – basically, anything resembling a book. You’ll find four books on one side and one more on the other.

Third box 

Okay, so for the third puzzle box, you need to find those cherry blossoms Rinko mentioned. It’s a little tricky! There are three on the front – look at the second row, far left; then the fifth row, also on the left; and finally, the sixth row, but this one’s on the right. Don’t forget to check the back too, there’s one more blossom there – it’s on the second row, again on the left side.
