The Shelby American company recently unveiled the Super Snake-R for the year 2026, their most powerful Super Snake model to date. Based on the Ford Mustang Dark Horse platform, this limited-edition vehicle features a wide body and boasts over 850 horsepower from a supercharged 5L V8 engine. Drivers can choose between a manual Tremec TR-3160 transmission or an automatic 10-speed transmission.
This high-performance model boasts a customizable coil-over suspension, a Borla exhaust system with a cat-back design, lightweight forged magnesium wheels, and an abundance of carbon fiber accents such as the hood vents, front spoiler, and rear diffuser. It also sports a broad metallic body kit, a prominent wing, and Shelby-tuned tires, which significantly improve grip and visibility on the track.
Within the cabin, you’ll find a rear seat removal with harness bar, exclusive badges, and customized interior trimmings. Each of these unique features is registered in the official Shelby Records, and they come backed by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty. Priced starting at $224,995 USD (which includes the base Dark Horse Mustang), the Super Snake-R will be available through authorized Shelby dealers across the U.S. and select international locations.
