In fact, she has been doing these things since her days in high school. This is evident from the collection of throwback pictures she posted from Normandy High School in St. Louis, which quickly became popular online.
In the initial set of pictures, a younger and less world-weary Red can be seen sporting her iconic red wig, carrying cash, and socializing with peers. The images don’t stand out as unusual because the rapper known for “Pound Town” appears to be just another high school student, albeit one with a hint of extra confidence.
It’s clear that Red posted the pictures as a way of marking the beginning of the new school year. The mother-of-two wrote, “HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 😉 #BEENDATGURL.”
Different images depict her with a platinum-blond wig, flaunting high-end leather bags, and donning academic robes and a mortarboard cap during graduation.
