At Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live event, Kadokawa, Crunchyroll, Qzil.la, and ARCH formally introduced “Sekiro: No Defeat” anime. This anime aims to meticulously retell the game’s narrative, where a once-defeated swordsman faces formidable adversaries in Sengoku Japan.
Kenichi Kutsuna, our director, shared that we’re tackling an impressive project – bringing the stunning ‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’ to life through animation. With great artistic dedication and a deep love for beauty, every aspect of this production is infused with our passion. The end result promises to be a memorable experience, making a lasting impact on both seasoned gamers familiar with Sekiro’s world and newcomers just discovering it. So, keep an eye out for it!
*Title*: Wolf
*Genre*: Fantasy, Adventure
In the enchanting realm of Eldoria, a young and mysterious lord, known only as the Enchanter, holds an iron grip over his kingdom. However, a loyal retainer named Wolf has grown weary of the tyranny that has befallen their people. When a prophecy foretells the Enchanter’s imminent downfall, Wolf seizes this opportunity to free Eldoria from its oppressive ruler. With courage and cunning, he embarks on a thrilling journey through treacherous landscapes and encounters magical creatures, all while evading the relentless pursuit of the Enchanter’s dark forces. Will Wolf succeed in his quest to restore peace and justice to Eldoria, or will he fall prey to the very powers that once held him captive? The answers await in “Wolf,” an epic fantasy adventure that promises suspense, action, and a captivating tale of loyalty, power, and redemption.
Japan is divided into numerous autonomous states constantly at odds with each other. At the heart of it all is Ashina, a land rich in sacred ground and ancient lore. Two decades after the Sword Saint Isshin Ashina regained control through a violent takeover, a fresh danger arises from within: The Interior Ministry. To safeguard his homeland, Isshin’s grandson Genichiro seeks help from forbidden powers. The only solution may lie in a boy who has been abducted-the Divine Heir-and his unwavering guardian: the devoted shinobi named Sekiro.
I’m eagerly anticipating the animated adaptations of some of the game’s most memorable battles, particularly those featuring Genichiro and Owl Father. I must admit, it’s shaping up to be quite a spectacle, a term often used by youngsters as “the cool stuff” or simply “awesome”.
Sekiro: No Defeat will premiere on Crunchyroll in 2026.
