Sean Wotherspoon’s “Ashleygreen” Joins Porsche’s Paint to Sample Program

Porsche is broadening its selection of custom colors by introducing several new options, one of which is Ashleygreen, designed by American artist Sean Wotherspoon. Previously showcased on a unique Porsche art car along with his distinct shades Nashyblue, Seanpeach, and Lorettapurple, Ashleygreen – a lively medium green hue – has now been made accessible to the general Porsche public.

The new color, named after Wotherspoon’s wife, offers a unique and heartfelt touch to the growing Paint to Sample (PTS) collection by Porsche. This earthy yet contemporary hue embodies Wotherspoon’s innovative design philosophy, merging streetwear aesthetics with luxury automotive culture. Starting from now, Porsche enthusiasts globally can order Ashleygreen through the PTS program, broadening the reach of this previously exclusive shade for customization on various Porsche models.

In response to TopMob’s comment, the designer revealed that he began collaborating with Porsche approximately three years back. During this collaboration, he unveiled his SW Taycan Art Car, which led Porsche to grant him the opportunity to create unique colors. He affectionately named these colors after himself, his spouse, and their children. Now, three out of the four colors can be selected as official PTS options on Porsche’s official configurator. Wotherspoon expressed his joy by saying, “This is a significant milestone for me, not just from a car enthusiast perspective, but even more so when I see their names listed on the Porsche website.

It’s anticipated that Lorettapurple could soon become a part of the customer-focused PTS (Porsche Tequipment Silver) program, since three out of the four colors from the initial Taycan collaboration have already been released.
