San Diego Comic-Con is officially set to kick off its first international event this September.
The upcoming event, scheduled from September 25 to September 28, will make its European market debut in Malaga, Spain. This marks a significant milestone since the convention’s first event was held in 1970. David Glanze, Chief Communications & Strategy Officer of San Diego Comic Convention, stated via ComicBook that Malaga was selected as the initial location because of its lively cultural atmosphere and modern amenities.
Despite the details of the events at the upcoming convention still being confidential, whispers suggest that the September event could resemble San Diego’s setup, featuring panel discussions, exhibitions, autograph sessions, and exclusive Comic-Con merchandise. According to ComicBook, if these rumors are accurate, the Malaga event is expected to match the scale of its American counterpart.
The first San Diego Comic-Con Malaga takes place September 25 to September 28.
