Salehe Bembury Teases His New Footwear Brand

Summary

  • Salehe Bembury has offered several teasers of a new sneaker design
  • While known for his many collaborations, this shoe will be part of Bembury’s own brand
  • No release details have been shared yet, however, it’s likely to debut later this year.

Salehe Bembury is a well-known collaborator in the shoe industry, known for creating numerous unique designs throughout his career. This includes working on sneakers for Versace and now leading his own line at Crocs. His upcoming book, titled “Salehe Bembury: I Make Shoes“, published by Rizzoli, will showcase his extensive 15-year journey in the industry. Besides this retrospective, Bembury is also launching his own footwear brand this year.

Recently, sneaker enthusiasts have been captivated by sneak peeks of Bembury’s latest model. The previews showcase a range of color combinations, including a vibrant blue and orange, as well as a monochromatic gray with pink accents. Each design features an upper made up of layered materials and a textured sole unit.

The shoes also bear a mark indicating Bembury’s brand, Spunge, which has previously been used for collaborative projects. On the side, you’ll find a tag stitched with the Spunge label, accompanied by a six-point logo situated at the midfoot. One notable aspect of these shoes is their squish technology, which allows cushioning to protrude from the midsole with each step taken.

The specifics about the launch of Spunge’s first inline shoe are yet to be revealed. However, a pair with Rizzoli branding on the front suggests a potential collaborative release that could align with the publication of his book in mid-October. Keep an eye out for further updates, including details about the shoe’s characteristics, as we anticipate its release later this year.
