Ryan Gosling is still keeping the Ghost Rider dream alive.
During a recent interview with Josh Horowitz to discuss his movie Project Hail Mary, Ryan Gosling was directly asked if he would finally confirm he’s taking on the role of Ghost Rider.
I caught Gosling addressing the rumors, and his response was classic Hollywood diplomacy. He playfully dismissed the question, but didn’t exactly deny anything! He offered a hopeful “We keep hope alive,” then admitted there’s been some talk, calling the whole thing “a complicated situation.” It’s a carefully worded answer that leaves the door open, and honestly, that’s probably exactly what he intended.
Ryan Gosling Does Not Deny Ghost Rider
Gosling didn’t dismiss the rumors. He confirmed he’d spoken with Marvel’s Kevin Feige and didn’t rule out the possibility of playing Ghost Rider, leaving fans to continue speculating about the role.
This will likely increase the ongoing fan effort to get Ryan Gosling cast as Marvel’s Ghost Rider.
Josh Horowitz has long been advocating for certain projects, and he previously suggested to Marvel’s Kevin Feige that Ryan Gosling would be interested in playing Ghost Rider.

Why Ghost Rider?
Horowitz also asked Gosling why Ghost Rider is the Marvel character he keeps coming back to.
Gosling’s answer was simple: “Just a feeling.”
When Horowitz joked that Gosling probably just wants to set his face on fire, the actor agreed.
Eva Mendes Joke Adds To The Moment
The interview got a bit humorous when Horowitz mentioned Eva Mendes, who appeared with Nicolas Cage in the 2007 film Ghost Rider, and is also Ryan Gosling’s wife.
Horowitz playfully pointed out that Mendes having been in a Ghost Rider movie might be a point of contention at home, considering Gosling hasn’t. Gosling good-naturedly replied, “I’m just glad one of us was able to do it.”
Project Hail Mary Opens This Week
Ryan Gosling recently mentioned Ghost Rider while promoting his new sci-fi movie, Project Hail Mary, which is based on the book by Andy Weir.
The new movie comes out this week and is already receiving excellent reviews from both critics and audiences. It currently has a 95% rating from critics and a 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
