Speculation Around Pattinson
Previously, James Gunn clarified that Robert Pattinson is not his chosen Batman for the DC Universe, emphasizing that Matt Reeves’ movies continue to operate independently within the DC Universe.
Despite continued speculation, it seems there’s a possibility that Gunn might consider Robert Pattinson for a role, given that the DC Universe is set to introduce Gotham City for the first time in the upcoming Clayface project.

Corporate Moves Could Shift Plans
Enhancing the ongoing rumors is the latest report suggesting Skydance-Paramount might be considering a takeover bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, the company responsible for DC.
In case this agreement goes through, high-ranking officials might advocate for unifying the role of Batman under a single actor. Given the acclaimed performance in ‘The Batman’, Robert Pattinson seems to be a compelling prospect.

Clayface Production
The film “Clayface” is helmed by director James Watkins, with the screenplay penned by Mike Flanagan. In the leading roles are actors Tom Rhys Harries, Naomie Ackie, and Max Minghella.
The horror-driven take on the Batman villain is set to release on September 11, 2026.
The Batman: Part II release info

Once again, Robert Pattinson assumes the role of Bruce Wayne and the iconic character of Batman (DC’s Dark Knight), featuring Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.
