The beloved movie “Practical Magic” is making a comeback, with a follow-up to the 1998 film currently being developed. As per recent news, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman will once again step into the shoes of the Owens sisters in this upcoming sequel.

In the latest development, the actors and filmmakers have commenced shooting, with Susanne Bier, the director of the second film, and the lead actress from Babygirl, posting videos from the set on their respective social media platforms.

In a post accompanying the video, Kidman announced that she and Bullock will be reprising their roles, saying “The witches are returning.” Additionally, she shared that filming for the Owens sisters has begun.

With great excitement, fans look forward to seeing Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman share the screen again. Joining them will be Dianne Wiest, a previous Oscar winner, and Stockard Channing, an Oscar nominee, who will both reprise their characters of Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny respectively.

Alongside the seasoned actors, some fresh talents are set to make their debut. According to recent news, The Kissing Booth’s Joey King has been chosen to portray Sally’s daughter. Additionally, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod are also joining the cast.

Although the specifics about the characters in the upcoming film’s cast remain secret, they are anticipated to add an extra dose of suspense, making the new installment of the series even more chilling than its predecessor.

In the meantime, Bier is now sitting in the director’s seat for the sequel, while Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett are responsible for writing the script. Previously, this filmmaker has collaborated with both the actress from Ocean’s Eight and Kidman on different projects.
