Pokémon Champions focuses on the classic Pokémon battling experience. Players create a team of Pokémon and compete against others in ranked, casual, or private matches. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch starting April 8th, and on mobile devices later in 2024.
The Pokémon Company announced the game’s release date and some launch bundles. The Pokémon Champions X Starter Pack will be available on April 8th through the Nintendo eShop. Players with a Nintendo Switch 2 can also expect a free update that will improve the game’s graphics.
Pokémon Champions is a strategy game where players battle using Pokémon with unique types, skills, and moves. You can build your team by finding Pokémon within the game or by transferring Pokémon you’ve previously collected from Pokémon HOME. The game also features several Mega-Evolved Pokémon—like Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar, and Mega Feraligatr—which bring new abilities to the battlefield, including Mega Sol, Mold Breaker, and Dragonize.

Pokémon Champions is launching soon on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android! Fans will be able to experience the game in a whole new way, and competitive players can even try it out at the Indianapolis Regional Championships from May 29th to 31st. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch starting April 8th.
