The opening movie on the list is “Hoppers,” slated for release in theaters on March 6, 2026. This film was penned and helmed by Daniel Chong, who gained fame as the creator of “We Bare Bears.” The story revolves around Mabel, an ardent animal enthusiast aged 19, whose consciousness gets transferred into a robotic beaver to enable her to converse with various creatures.

In this animated movie, Piper Curda is the voice behind Mabel, while Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm bring life to King George, a regal beaver ruler, and Mayor Jerry, a self-centered mayor character. Work on the film started in 2020, and it was titled Hoppers in August 2024.

Following that is the release of “Toy Story 5,” set for June 19, 2026. This project is helmed by director-cum-writer Andrew Stanton, with Jessica Choi overseeing production duties.

The movie is set to feature the return of Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Joan Cusack as Jessie, and Tony Hale as Forky. Joining the cast are Anna Faris, Ernie Hudson, and Conan O’Brien. Tim Allen, who plays Buzz Lightyear, has expressed his enthusiasm for the project, hinting that it focuses significantly on Jessie, with Woody and Buzz having a notable realignment, and featuring an amazing opening scene involving Buzz Lightyear.

In the fifth movie, we’ll see the main “Toy Story” production moving forward for the first time without the involvement of its co-creator, John Lasseter, who departed from Pixar in 2018.

Pixar’s upcoming original movie titled “Gatto” is set to hit theaters on June 18, 2027. This film tells the tale of Nero, a character entangled in debts with a cat mafia boss, who must form an unexpected bond to discover his meaning in life. Directed by Enrico Casarosa, this project was initially unveiled at the Annecy Animation Festival back in 2025.

Cast details remain mostly under wraps, though Ismail Elsene is confirmed as the voice of Lauren.

Enthusiasts of superhero stories need not miss out. The third installment of “The Incredibles,” titled “The Incredibles 3,” is now under production. Brad Bird, who directed the first two movies, is set to return as both writer and executive producer, while Peter Sohn takes on the director’s role.

In the past, Bird has mentioned that there were numerous concepts we had for this movie that could potentially be utilized, whether it’s another Incredibles film or something completely new. Both Samuel L. Jackson and Sophia Bush have expressed interest in reprising their roles, with Sophia expressing a particular desire to team up with Violet for a future project.

Ultimately, it’s been confirmed that the sequel to “Coco,” titled “Coco 2,” is under development. The original directors Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina will resume their roles as director and co-director respectively, with Mark Nielsen taking on the production duties. Although a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, progress on the project continues.

Pixar’s future lineup will offer both fresh tales and follow-ups for established series, ensuring fans can enjoy both innovative content as well as familiar favorites.
