Well, this is a bummer. I just heard that Paramount decided to pull the plug on both the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series and the recent Dora the Explorer reboot. Apparently, it’s all part of a big shake-up happening after the merger with Skydance. It’s a shame, I was actually enjoying both shows!

TMNT Ends Next Month With Season 2
Originally reported by InSneider, the animated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will conclude after its second season. Paramount has confirmed that the final season will be available on Paramount+ in December, and will later air on Nicktoons next year.
The current animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series on Nickelodeon is finishing up, but the franchise will continue. Paramount intends to keep TMNT alive through movies, merchandise, and future projects.

Dora Revival Also Shuts Down
According to Deadline, the popular kids’ show Dora will conclude with its fourth season, though we don’t know when that season will be available to stream. While a fifth season has been made, it’s currently uncertain if or how it will be released. Similar to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora episodes will also air on Nick Jr. after they finish streaming.
As a big fan, I’m really excited to see Paramount expanding how and where we can enjoy these shows! They’re now letting other companies license them, which they’ve been doing a lot lately with Nickelodeon properties. It’s great to see our favorites popping up on streaming services like Netflix – more ways to watch is always a win!
Paramount Restructuring Behind the Decision
These cancellations are happening because of big changes at Paramount. The company is merging with Skydance and combining all of its traditional TV channels, like Nickelodeon, under one division run by George Cheeks.
Cheeks recently announced that the networks will concentrate on a limited number of shows, prioritizing their most popular franchises like SpongeBob SquarePants and PAW Patrol. While Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aren’t currently planned for continuation, Cheeks indicated they might return with new versions in the future.
