After hearing strong feedback from players, Paradox Interactive is adding content originally planned for downloadable expansions into the core version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. This means players will now have two extra character backgrounds to choose from – the Lasombra and Toreador clans – which will unlock more conversations, abilities, and customization options.
This update adds two new vampire clans to the core game, bringing the total from four to six. The Toreador are renowned for their captivating charm and ability to manipulate others, while the Lasombra are masters of darkness and shadow.
Paradox also announced two downloadable content (DLC) packs, coming after the game’s release. Called ‘Loose Cannon’ and ‘The Flower & the Flame,’ these packs let you play as new characters. In ‘Loose Cannon,’ you’ll be Benny Muldoon, a sheriff with the Camarilla, and in ‘The Flower & the Flame,’ you’ll experience the story through the eyes of Primogen Ysabella Moore. Both characters are featured in the main game, and their individual stories will offer deeper insights into the background of the main character, Phyre.
Both expansions are scheduled for release in 2026 and will be part of the game’s Premium Edition. They’ll replace previously released downloadable content that’s now included in the main game. The updated game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 21, 2025.
