Pocketpair announced that the full version of Palworld, version 1.0, will launch in 2026, officially ending its Early Access period. They plan a major update to celebrate the release, but also promised fans several exciting updates throughout 2025.
Palworld’s largest update this year saw the addition of Terraria content to the game. Due to the ongoing lawsuit by Nintendo against Pocketpair for patent infringement, the studio also had to invest resources into changing or removing certain mechanics from its title, slowing the pace at which new content could be created.
In addition to fresh content, the developers want to clean up what currently exists. “It’s no secret that Palworld has a lot of quirks and jank,” Pocketpair’s communications director said in a video message. “We want to take the time to properly address those before releasing the game.”
This year’s winter update will still have some exciting surprises, but it won’t be as large as some fans might expect.
Palworld is currently available in Early Access on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
