Okay, so Ondas (ONDS +5.31%). They’re up. Fine. They got ten million bucks from some people, and now they’re partnering with World View. World View! Like, what is World View? Apparently, it’s about drones. And surveillance. It’s always surveillance, isn’t it? And now everyone’s getting excited. Investors are watching how this expands Ondas’ “defense and homeland security exposure.” Exposure! Like it’s a rash. It’s just… a lot. The stock closed at $10.67. Ten dollars and sixty-seven cents. You know what I want for ten dollars and sixty-seven cents? A decent cup of coffee. Not a stock.
The volume was 178.1 million shares. 178.1 million. That’s… a number. It’s 93% above their three-month average. So, people are trading. They went public in 2020. 2020! Remember 2020? A simpler time. They’re up 73% since then. 73%! It’s just… unsustainable. It has to come down at some point. It always does. And then who’s left holding the bag? Not me. I’m diversified. Mostly in complaining.
How the Markets Moved Today
The S&P 500 (^GSPC +0.04%) went up… fractionally. 0.04%. What’s the point? It’s basically flat. The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC +0.36%) did a little better, 0.36%. A whole 0.36%. Motorola Solutions (MSI +0.80%) closed at $486.2, up 0.82%. Cisco Systems (CSCO 0.05%) went down a tiny bit. It’s all just…noise. A bunch of numbers moving around. And everyone pretends it means something.
What This Means For Investors
So, Ondas gets ten million bucks, partners with World View, and now they’re suddenly a big deal in homeland security? It’s ridiculous. This deal “boosts” their presence? What does that even mean? It’s a marketing term. A way to make something sound more important than it is. And the news came as investors showed “more interest” in drone companies. Of course. Because everyone needs more surveillance. It’s a slippery slope.
They’re expanding their “range of defense solutions.” With drones. Wonderful. And investors are supposed to be excited about this? It’s just… infuriating. Because Ondas is a “smaller-cap stock,” their price moves more. That’s the excuse, anyway. It’s always some excuse. Watch to see if these partnerships lead to contract wins. Sure. Let’s all just sit around and watch. Like we have nothing better to do. I’m going to go find a comfortable chair and complain about the cable bill.
