2025 will be the 20th anniversary of when Paul Rodriguez and the Nike SB team debuted the world’s first look at the Nike SB P-Rod 1. This signature shoe was the beginning of many designs by Rodriguez, and it’s making a return to store shelves this year as a tribute to its milestone.
At the end of 2024, we first showcased the return of the SB P-Rod 1 at the latest SNKRS Showcase event by Swoosh. Now, we have a comprehensive collection of official images that reveal its debut “White/Black” color scheme. The model continues to boast a full leather upper, with distinctive “R” quilting on the heel counter. It also features visible Zoom Air cushioning and a plush tongue. An “SHS” emblem is prominently displayed on the metallic silver dubrae, which aligns with the tongue and heel branding. The OG colorway introduces a semi-transparent outsole this time, a departure from the black one that was present at the base of its earlier versions.
As I’m typing this, it hasn’t been announced when the classic SB P-Rod 1 model by Paul Rodriguez will be back in stores. Keep an eye out for announcements, including details on new color variations, as we anticipate that a “White/Black” edition of the shoe might become available in May through Nike SNKRS and certain skate shops, priced at $110 USD to start.
