Oasis reunion tour announced but United States fans might be sad

As a die-hard Oasis fan who’s been following their journey since the Britpop era, I can’t help but feel both elated and apprehensive about this upcoming reunion tour in 2025. It’s been a long 16 years since we last saw them on stage together, and the thought of witnessing Liam and Noel Gallagher create magic once more is exhilarating.

On Tuesday, Oasis shared some thrilling news for fans: after a fifteen-year hiatus, Noel and Liam Gallagher are planning to perform a joint concert again. Their last such performance was in 2009 in Paris; however, their brotherly spat led them to informally stop performing together since then.

The prospect of Oasis reuniting for performances is thrilling, but at present, their tour is limited to regional shows. The tour schedule includes 14 concerts from July 4, 2025, through early August, however, all the gigs are taking place in the UK or Ireland. If you’re hoping to catch the band live, you might need to factor in airfare costs as part of the total expense, given that you reside outside these regions.

It’s quite possible that the boys might realize, “Hold on! We’re earning a good deal and this is fun once more!” In such a case, they could opt to broaden their tour. Given the allure of an Oasis performance, it’s safe to say that the shows already scheduled will likely be completely booked, especially if they’re nearby.

Oasis announces reunion tour set to run in 2025

It’s worth noting that Oasis had more success in the UK and globally compared to their performance in the US. Each album they released reached number one on the UK charts, but none managed to do so in the US. Out of their seven studio albums, only three made it into the top ten in the US. This could be a factor explaining why the band might not feel motivated to tour the US at this stage.

As a die-hard fan, if there’s talk of an Oasis reunion tour, I can confidently say that it would undoubtedly spark my fellow American fans to snap up tickets if they ever grace our shores with an expanded tour. Frankly, given their iconic status from the ’90s, I see no reason why us Americans wouldn’t jump at the chance to witness such a legendary band live.

Even though the reunion tour isn’t kicking off for another year, who knows what twists and turns might occur? Maybe Liam and Noel will start arguing once more, leading to them scrapping the entire thing. On the flip side, in an ideal world, Oasis could reignite their passion for each other and work on a fresh album together.
