Oakley Factory Team’s Next Drop Includes a SOUTH2 WEST8 Flesh Sandal

Summary

  • Oakley’s Japan-exclusive SS25 footwear capsule drops on May 6 online and at Oakley’s Shibuya outpost.
  • Comprising four styles, the range includes an inaugural Flesh Sandal collaboration with SOUTH2 WEST8.
  • Elsehwere, Oakley offers two new inline Flesh Sandal variants and a new Chop Saw Boot colorway.

The Oakley Factory Team has revealed their upcoming footwear collection, a collaboration with SOUTH2 WEST8 that takes inspiration from the outdoor background of the Japanese brand. Additionally, the design team at Brain Dead within Oakley’s lab have introduced three fresh color options for both the Flesh Sandal and Chop Saw Boot, in earthy shades reminiscent of the natural world.

The distinctive South2 West8 Flesh Sandal breaks away from the mostly single-colored collection, employing a mesh camouflage reminiscent of patterns used in their clothing line. The sandals feature a toned-down green camo pattern contrasted with black leather accents that have a perforated texture. To complete the look, the South2 West8 logo is prominently displayed on the pull tab. In addition to the Flesh Sandal, there are two other colorways: one made entirely of black suede and another featuring olive green and gray uppers with a red pull tab.

Lastly, I can’t help but express my excitement over the Oakley Factory Team’s Chop Saw Boot, which boasts a hairy beige suede material covering the entire upper and tongue. For a hint of color, green pull tabs and maroon laces are subtly incorporated, reminiscent of the earthy shades found in the heart of a forest.

On May 6th, the SS25 capsule will be launched in Japan, available at Oakley’s Shibuya store as well as on their official Japanese online store.
