NYCC 2025: Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter Tease ‘Daredevil Born Again’ Season 2 and Jessica Jones’ Comeback

At New York Comic Con 2025, the team behind Daredevil: Born Again shared a first look at what fans can expect in the show’s second season.

Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, recently discussed the upcoming confrontation between his character and Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, hinting that their battle will have major consequences for New York City.

Cox explained that Matt Murdock and Daredevil made an agreement at the start of season one, a scene he considers one of the best they filmed. However, by season two, that agreement was broken. Everything had changed, not just for Matt, but for all superheroes, as the world had become a much darker place for those trying to be good.

Despite the intense rivalry between their characters, Brian Cox revealed he and Vincent D’Onofrio are actually close friends in real life. “It’s surprising, but Vincent and I are very good friends,” Cox said with a laugh, adding, “The more we can work on this show together, the better.”

Krysten Ritter announced she’s reprising her role as Jessica Jones. She described it as a strange but wonderful experience, noting it had been six years since she last played the character. Ritter shared her enthusiasm for working with co-star Charlie Cox, saying she deeply enjoys both his company and acting alongside him. She felt the reunion was a grand and special occasion.

The two actors playfully discussed their comfortable dynamic and witty back-and-forth. Courteney Cox expressed her excitement about Kristen returning and JJ joining the show, but jokingly anticipated fans would tease JJ about his Daredevil role, specifically his character’s distinctive ears.

Ritter jokingly admitted that whenever he has the opportunity, he enjoys teasing Charlie.

Good news for Daredevil fans: a third season is already being planned! Season 2 will debut on Disney+ in March 2026.
