Nobody 2 Review: Funnier, Faster, and Just as Brutal

I just got out of Nobody 2 and, as you can tell from my reaction video, I really liked it.

I truly enjoy action films about solitary assassins, such as “John Wick”. Reminiscing, I recall entering “Nobody” without much anticipation and being delightfully taken aback – a feeling that mirrors my initial response to the first “John Wick” film.

Bigger, Louder, Funnier

I’m delighted to express that Nobody 2 certainly lives up to expectations, much like the follow-ups to the John Wick series. It boasts a larger production budget and an abundance of elements: combat, firearms, action – and humor.

The ending part is something new. I haven’t laughed this much at a movie since the original “Nobody” came out a few years ago, but this one seemed even funnier. It had a goofier tone, and it really worked. The audience was laughing out loud throughout the film. This version isn’t just a copy of the first movie, and its unique approach was a big success.

Standout Performances

Once more, Bob Odenkirk delivers an outstanding performance as David Mansell, while Christopher Lloyd leaves a lasting impact in each scene he’s present. Unlike before, David isn’t working alone; this time, his family becomes integral to the storyline. To my surprise, I found myself appreciating this dynamic touch. In an unexpected yet thrilling manner, Nobody 2 feels surprisingly akin to a family-oriented film. It’s shaping up as the unmissable family film of the summer season.

Strong Villains

The villains are strong, too — Sharon Stone delivers a standout performance. Wow.

Action and Choreography

As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I’ve got to admit – the fight sequences in this film were nothing short of spectacular! They were masterfully crafted, and when you throw in some music choices that seamlessly complemented the overall mood of the movie, it was simply a visual feast for the eyes. And let me tell you, my fellow cinephiles, they certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to delivering an epic conclusion that left us all with a satisfying feeling of closure.

Perfect Runtime

The duration of 90 minutes for this piece is perfectly balanced. It’s purely enjoyable, offering a mix of excitement, swift pace, and minimal intellectual effort needed.

The Verdict

The second installment, “Nobody 2,” fails to meet action enthusiasts’ expectations in every way – fast-moving plotlines, creative battle sequences, and an unexpected dash of humor. Yet, it manages to be a commendable sequel that thrives independently, leaving viewers yearning for more. Rating: 9/10.>

In the eyes of action movie fans, “Nobody 2” falls short – it lacks speedy storytelling, exciting fight choreography, and a healthy dose of humor. However, it stands tall as an admirable sequel that can hold its ground alone, making viewers long for another one. Rating: 9/10.>
