According to Nerdrotic, She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany, won’t be appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, which he points out is another significant exclusion from Marvel’s next large team-up event.
The YouTuber announced on Twitter that She-Hulk won’t be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. This followed a previous statement where he claimed Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson, and Ironheart, played by Dominique Thorne, were also excluded from the film.
Now that reports suggest Disney+ is reducing the roles of its female heroes, it seems Marvel Studios is subtly shifting away from some of its more controversial and expensive characters.

She-Hulk’s Disney+ Disaster
The Marvel series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was a costly production, reportedly reaching $225 million. However, despite the high budget, it didn’t attract as many viewers as other Marvel shows on Disney+, and many critics found fault with its humor, storyline, and excessive use of computer-generated imagery.
The show featured Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer and cousin of the Hulk, who gains similar powers after a blood transfusion. Though intended as a funny, self-aware legal comedy, it soon became a focus of criticism regarding the perceived drop in quality and overt social themes in recent Marvel productions.

Tatiana Maslany’s Controversies
Since the show concluded, Maslany hasn’t improved Marvel’s public standing. She gained attention for publicly criticizing Disney CEO Bob Iger and voicing support for striking actors and writers, accusing the studio of prioritizing profits during the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Additionally, her advocacy for transgender rights sparked varied responses online.
Recently, actress Tatiana Maslany sparked discussion by urging fans to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions. This is unusual coming from someone who stars in Disney+ shows. She made this call in response to the controversy surrounding Jimmy Kimmel.

Marvel’s Reset Continues
Rumors suggest She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Ironheart won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday, signaling Marvel might be moving away from projects that haven’t performed well with audiences. It’s still unclear what they plan to do with Ms. Marvel, another character who hasn’t quite taken off as expected.
Scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, Avengers: Doomsday will bring together heroes from the Avengers, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and X-Men in a huge team-up. The film will feature over twenty characters, including Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth), Reed Richards (played by Pedro Pascal), and Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.).
It’s not unexpected that Jameela Jamil won’t be returning, considering the negative response to She-Hulk, the show’s increasing budget, and her outspoken disapproval of Disney. Hopefully, this signals that Marvel is shifting its focus towards established, popular characters and moving away from projects that haven’t performed well.
