At Milan Design Week 2025, the Milan-based design studio NM3 unveiled NMMS – a unique collection of vase designs, crafted in partnership with Miss Sixty.
In keeping with NM3’s distinctive approach that blends geometric accuracy with industrial simplicity, every vase is crafted from raw materials such as black powder-coated steel, stainless steel, and cylinder head screws. The emphasis here lies on the material, shape, and intentional asymmetry, with the building process itself becoming the main attraction.
The NMMS series, consisting of only ten pieces, draws inspiration from the sculptures of renowned American artist John McCracken. Each angular vase presents a unique silhouette as it’s rotated, providing four distinct views that adapt according to the viewer’s location. With their sharp edges, visible joints, and sleek, modern aesthetics, these vases straddle the line between functional objects and contemporary art.
Instead of simply launching a product, NMMS is more about engaging in a conversation between fashion and design. This collaboration showcases Miss Sixty’s continuous dedication to creative explorations within their retail environments. Designed by NM3 and architect Silvia Guerrini, the flagship store becomes an interactive exhibit, blending industrial design with fashion style.
The entire series will remain displayed at the Miss Sixty main store in Milan until April 13th. For further details, check out NM3’s website.
