
Nicholas Hoult is sharing more details about playing Lex Luthor in Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and giving fans a better understanding of director James Gunn’s vision for both the character and the movie.
In an interview with Variety, Hoult said he felt honored to become one of the many actors who have portrayed Superman’s famous enemy.
Hoult expressed his excitement about joining the actors who have previously played Lex Luthor, saying he felt honored to be part of that group. He also praised James Gunn’s writing and vision for the character, feeling confident in Gunn’s direction and genuinely enjoying the role.

Hoult Calls Gunn’s Script “Awesome”
Hoult also described Gunn’s script for Man of Tomorrow as “awesome.”
James Gunn has described the upcoming film as a story where Lex Luthor and Superman are forced to team up to face a huge, overwhelming threat. He also noted that the film will explore Lex Luthor’s story as much as it does Superman’s.

Brainiac Rumored As the Main Villain
Many believe the next major villain will be Brainiac, though James Gunn hasn’t officially confirmed this. Actors like Matt Smith, Claes Bang, and Sam Rockwell are frequently mentioned as potential choices for the role.
